The CBA104 – Cyber Vulnerability Assessment Fundamentals will immerse learners into a deep understanding of how perimeter defenses work as a precursor to understanding attacks on networks. The course will show how intruders escalate privileges and what steps can be taken to secure a system. Learners will explore Intrusion Detection, Policy Creation, Social Engineering, DDoS Attacks, Buffer Overflows, and Virus Creation. Learners will also explore and perform assessments of systems and networks within the network environment or enclave and identify where those systems/networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy. They will also execute and measure the effectiveness of defense-in-depth architecture against known vulnerabilities.
